BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) is updating the minimum protocol revision required for products entering testing. Beginning January 1, 2025, Revision 18 will be the minimum protocol required for products entering testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated in the BTL Testing Policies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minimum Protocol_Revision is determined each January 1st and is the highest Protocol_Revision which has been available in a BTL Test Plan <\/em><\/strong>for at least 4 years. The schedule below indicates the specifics of how this will work for the next few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All products that are at their Recognized BACnet Testing Organization (RBTO) and are\u00a0ready to begin testing<\/strong>\u00a0before the end of 2024, may test at the current minimum Protocol_Revision (PR_16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
