Japneet Singh, of Johnson Controls, begins new five-year term as voting member.
(Atlanta, Ga – July 14, 2025) BACnet Testing Laboratories is proud to announce that Japneet Singh will continue as a voting member of the BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL-WG). Singh was initially inducted during a BTL-WG meeting in 2020 and began a new five-year term on June 19, 2025. The BTL-WG operates under the auspices of BACnet International.
“Japneet has played a key role in the BTL Working Group for many years, contributing in various capacities,” stated Andy McMillan, BACnet International President and Managing Director. “We’re excited about his ongoing involvement with the working group.”
Currently, Japneet Singh is a Senior Product Owner for BACnet Team at Johnson Controls, Canada. He has over 10 years of experience with BACnet protocol testing and working with BACnet embedded controllers and servers in the building automation domain. His primary responsibilities include creating the product strategy and roadmap for BACnet-compliant products, requirement gathering, backlog management, and overseeing the compliance and testing of products implementing BACnet protocol. He enjoys playing soccer in his free time and is a supporter of Manchester United.

BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) was developed and is operated by BACnet International to support compliance testing and interoperability testing activities. The BTL oversees operation of the global BACnet product certification program and administers the BTL Working Group (BTL-WG).
