Paragon Controls, Inc. Becomes Newest Member of BACnet International

The BACnet community is proud to announce that Paragon Controls Inc. has become the latest company to join BACnet International as a Silver member. Paragon, established in 1984, is an industry leader in delivering building performance by designing and manufacturing airflow and pressure measurement systems and solutions. Headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, Paragon works to make buildings smarter, more efficient, safer, and healthier for occupants through the use of their innovative products.

“Paragon understands that our customers require superior quality products and service,” stated Michelle Foszcz, president of Paragon. “To that end, we undertook rigorous third-party BACnet testing to earn the right to use the BTL Mark, which provides our customers with assurance that our products have passed a global standard designed to validate that BACnet features are correctly implemented eliminating the time, money, and energy spent troubleshooting network communication errors after installation.”

Paragon joins more than 150 leading building automation suppliers as BACnet International members supporting promotion of BACnet as a global communications protocol.

“Paragon shares our commitment of ensuring the highest quality BACnet products are in the market,” said Andy McMillan, president and managing director of BACnet International. “We are happy to have them as part of the association and look forward to their contributions and collaborations.”

About BACnet International

BACnet International is an industry association that facilitates the successful use of the BACnet protocol in building automation and control systems through interoperability testing, educational programs and promotional activities. BACnet International oversees operation of the BACnet Testing Labs (BTL) and maintains a global listing of tested products. The BACnet standard was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has been made publicly available so that manufacturers can create interoperable systems of products. BACnet International complements the work of the ASHRAE standards committee and BACnet-related interest groups around the world. BACnet International members include building owners, consulting engineers and facility managers, as well as companies involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of control equipment that uses BACnet for communication.
